Secondary MFL Teacher Language Specialist Local Secondary Schools
Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only)
Salary: GBP140 - GBP233 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate / Next Term

Communicate Without Borders: Impact Without the Admin
We are seeking Qualified MFL Teachers (QTS/ECTs) specialising in Spanish, French, or German to provide expert cover across a variety of secondary schools. This role allows you to focus on the conversation of teaching, delivering high-energy lessons and fostering linguistic flair without the burden of departmental data meetings or weekend marking.
Linguistic Versatility
- Lead lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering everything from foundational vocabulary and grammar to sophisticated GCSE film and literature studies.
- Experience different school language departments and pedagogical styles, keeping your teaching practice fresh while building a diverse professional network.
- Reclaim your evenings: Deliver high-impact, interactive lessons during the day and leave the planning and parent consultations to the permanent staff.

Weekly Pay
- Competitive daily rates of GBP140 - GBP233, paid every Friday via Randstad.
Your Role as an MFL Lead
As a Secondary MFL Teacher, you are responsible for building student confidence and breaking down the barriers to effective communication in a foreign tongue.
Expert Lesson Delivery
- Facilitate engaging lessons that balance the four key skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing using authentic resources to bring the language to life.
GCSE Focus
- Support examination cohorts with targeted preparation, focusing on translation skills, verb tense mastery, and spontaneous speaking confidence.
Classroom Authority
- Maintain a vibrant and supportive environment where students feel safe to take risks with their pronunciation and engage in role-play.
Adaptive Support
- Differentiate resources on the fly to support students with SEND or those who are dual-linguists, ensuring the curriculum is both accessible and challenging.

Essential Requirements
We are looking for articulate and passionate specialists who can bring a taste of the world into the classroom. You are an ideal fit if you:
- Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification (ECTs are highly encouraged).
- Are an MFL Specialist: You are fluent in at least one major European language (Spanish, French, or German) and have a solid grasp of the KS3/KS4 National Curriculum.
- Are an Engaging Communicator: You can build rapport with teenagers quickly and use your passion for languages to spark their curiosity about different cultures.
- Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding.
