We’re looking for a talented and proactive Security Operations Engineer to join our client’s growing team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player managing data centres (hardware and software) and cloud footprint with a focus on information security. You will be responsible for strengthening and operating security controls across infrastructure, networks, systems and data.
Responsibilities:
- Systems hardening through configuration, scripting, port and configuration scanning activities
- Vulnerability management
- Disaster recovery
- Enforce data security
- Extending OSS tools (written mostly in Go or Python)
- Strengthening network security
- Implementing an asset management solution
- Establishing a solid and efficient backup and archival solution, using cloud based and on prem resources
- Keep up to date with emerging threats, attack techniques and security best practices

Skills:
- Proven experience in security operations or infrastructure security role
- Knowledge of storage systems, front and middle office trading and risk systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of managing routers, firewalls and other critical network components
- Ideally MS or BS in Computer Science, Engineering or similar
- CI/CD tooling, such as Jenkins, Jira or Git
- Proficiency in Linux
- IaC scripting (such as Terraform)
- Strong understanding of file systems
- Outstanding knowledge of at least on programming language, such as Bash, Go, Python etc
