Talented people are the key to our success.

We are delivering works as part of Network Rail’s CP7 Western Structures & Network Enhancements Framework (2024–2029), a £100m programme focused on the renewal and reconstruction of key structural assets across the Western region. Projects typically include bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and wider infrastructure enhancement schemes such as new stations and Access for All (AfA) upgrades.

We are seeking a motivated Section Engineer with civil engineering and structures experience in a rail environment. This role is ideal for someone with reasonable site experience looking to develop further within a major long-term framework.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality (QA/QC) requirements across site activities.
  • Support day-to-day site management, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
  • Undertake occasional setting-out tasks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Assist in delivering structural and civils works across bridges, tunnels, retaining structures, and enhancement schemes.
  • Collaborate with site teams, supervisors, and project engineers to maintain progress and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, inspections, and compliance records.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of projects within the £100m framework through to 2029.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
