Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday, 9 hours a day, 05:00 - 14:00
Pay: £15.16 ph
Are you an experienced Forklift Truck Operator with a strong focus on safety, security, and customer service? We are looking for a professional and reliable Logistics Security Officer to join our Secure Logistics Team, supporting critical aviation operations in a highly regulated environment.
Working to the highest standards of aviation security and operational excellence, you will play a key role in the secure movement, screening, handling, and protection of goods, vehicles, and personnel across the site.
About The Role
- Safely unload, load, move, and store goods using a Forklift Truck and manual handling techniques where required.
- Carry out security screening of goods, vehicles, baggage, and persons in accordance with Department for Transport regulations and company procedures.
- Operate security equipment, including X-ray screening systems, body screening equipment, and access control systems.
- Conduct vehicle inspections, security searches, escort duties, and restricted area access checks.
- Perform yard marshal duties including traffic management, vehicle identification, and driver documentation processing.
- Complete accurate operational records, screening documentation, vehicle checks, and compliance paperwork.
- Support reception and control point operations, including visitor management, telephone handling, radio communications, and ID verification.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring correct use of PPE, safe working practices, and adherence to all site procedures.

What We Are Looking For
- Valid Forklift Truck licence with experience operating FLTs in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to successfully pass aviation security vetting, including a five-year employment history check.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining secure working practices.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic IT skills with the ability to complete operational reports and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to remain calm, decisive, and professional when working under pressure or responding to incidents.
- Reliable team player with excellent attendance, punctuality, and a flexible approach to work.
- Capable of carrying out operational duties including loading, unloading, screening, and patrol activities.
