Securities Services - Product Management, Private Fund Services - Vice President

Product Management Professional – Private Fund Services

Do you want a client-facing product role where you can influence growth and shape how services are delivered? In this role, you will support new commercial relationships, improve the client experience, and help launch investment funds across a global platform. You will work with partners across Sales, Operations, Product Development, Technology, Risk, Legal, and Compliance to deliver outcomes that matter. Job Summary

As a Product Management professional in Private Fund Services, you will support the product management function by progressing new business opportunities and delivering agreed product enhancements. You will:

  • Help translate client needs into practical operating model solutions.
  • Evaluate deal economics and support successful client onboarding and fund launches.
  • Contribute to a disciplined, controlled delivery environment.
  • Drive improvements across end-to-end processes.
  • Build strong relationships internally and confidently engage with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Client Relations & New Business

    • Support new business opportunities by evaluating requirements, responding to proposals, and contributing to client presentations.
    • Partner with Sales to coordinate the end-to-end new deal process and maintain clear stakeholder alignment.
    • Review commercial terms and support monitoring of profitability, invoicing timeliness, and expense discipline.
  • Product & Process Development

    • Analyse client change requests and recommend operating model and service solutions.
    • Coordinate with onboarding and operational teams to deliver fund launches and client implementations.
    • Develop operational solutions by reviewing fund governing documents and investment structures.

  • Market & Competitive Intelligence

    • Identify and progress service enhancements in partnership with Product Development, Operations, and Technology.
    • Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform product priorities and differentiation.
    • Improve end-to-end delivery processes by defining change initiatives and driving execution across partners.
  • Client Engagement & Cross-functional Collaboration

    • Support client queries and special projects, resolving issues timeously and fostering clear communications.
    • Maintain confidence in client-facing roles, including presenting to and engaging with external stakeholders.
  • Mentorship & Team Development

    • Coach and support junior team members (graduates and interns) to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements & Skills

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
  • Industry Experience:
    • Experience in fund administration, fund operations, private equity, or the alternative funds industry.
    • Demonstrated ability to support new business processes (e.g., proposals, questionnaires, due diligence).
  • **Technical & Commercial:
    • Ability to evaluate deal economics and translate requirements into operating models.
  • Global Fund Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of global fund structures, including domiciles e.g., Luxembourg, Ireland, Cayman, US, Channel Islands.
  • Stakeholder & Team Management:
    • Skills in managing teams and stakeholders across cross-functional areas (Operations, Sales, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Technology).
  • Client & Communication Skills:
    • Client-facing confidence, including presenting and simplifying complex topics.
    • Strong written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills.
  • Delivery & Attention to Detail:
    • Structured approach to delivery and controls.
    • Ability to set priorities, work independently, and manage parallel workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • ** Platform Experience:** Familiarity with fund accounting and administration platforms (e.g., FIS Investran).
  • Process Improvement: Experience in data/technology remediation, process improvement, or transformation initiatives.
  • Technical Tools & Analytics:
    • Experience with fund platforms (beyond private equity, e.g., hedge fund strategies).
    • Focus on analytics and automation tools (e.g., Alteryx).
  • Technology and Scalability: Knowledge of enterprise data strategies.
  • AI Awareness: Interest in (or experience with) AI-enabled capabilities in controlled environments.
