As a top European bank with a strategic focus on corporate and investment banking, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Securitization Professional to contribute to the development and expansion of our Securitization Financing Platform in EU/UK.

This role will focus on:

  • Client marketing
  • Transaction origination & execution
  • Risk evaluation
  • Transaction data modeling
  • Client transaction management & monitoring

About the Role

The position will support BBVA’s corporate and institutional clients, specializing in securitization across diverse asset classes, including but not limited to:

  • Trade accounts receivable
  • Consumer auto loans & leases
  • Commercial equipment loan & leases
  • Consumer installment loans & credit cards
  • Cell phone device receivables
  • Flow and non-flow assets

You will collaborate with the Global Head of Securitization, client coverage officers, Risk Team, and senior management to drive new business growth and strengthen BBVA’s securitization strategy in EU/UK.


Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Client Engagement
    • Collaborate with the Global Head of Securitization and Client Coverage Officers to identify, prioritise, and pursue securitisation opportunities across asset classes and industries.
    • Originate and execute securitization transactions across traditional and emerging asset classes relevant to BBVA’s EU/UK client base.

  • Transaction Origination & Execution

    • Prepare and deliver client marketing pitches and financing proposals, including term sheets and RFP responses.
    • Work with market coverage officers to evaluate transaction returns and risks.
    • Coordinate legal documentation, review, and negotiation with clients in partnership with in-house and external legal counsel.
  • Risk & Compliance

    • Oversee client portfolio evaluations, financial modelling, and credit proposals developed by junior Securitization staff.
    • Lead the process to draft credit proposals and liaise with the Risk department for transaction approvals.
    • Monitor the performance of existing transactions, including support for amendments, renewals, and waivers.
  • Strategic Leadership & Growth

    • Stay informed on transaction performance trends and ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Identify cross-selling opportunities for securitization products.
    • Represent BBVA in industry conferences and engagement events.
    • Support internal strategic initiatives relevant to Securitization.
    • Act as an internal lobbyist, managing inquiries related to the product.
  • Team Management & Leadership

    • Recruit, train, and mentor junior Securitization staff.
    • Establish a culture of professional development and high performance within the team.

Requirements

Education & Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • +15 years of experience in a securitisation financing-related role at a financial institution active in the ABS market.

Professional Experience & Expertise

  • Proven track record in [[originating and executing securitization transactions]] across EU/UK asset classes.
  • Strong understanding of market-based securitisation rating methodologies and data analysis.
  • Deep knowledge of:
    • Risk assessment tools
    • Transaction modelling approaches
    • Data analytics techniques
  • Comprehensive knowledge of securitisation legal documentation and regulatory standards.
  • Familiarity with risk-weight and capital calculations linked to securitisation transactions.
