Steeped in history and situated in the heart of Belgravia, The Pembroke stands apart as a unique club for Londoners. From the spirit of our members to the splendour of our events, we are a home for eclectic and excellent living. A place to eat, drink, dance and meet, The Pembroke opens its doors to those who wish to fill their world with the finest experiences, from cocktails to culture, billiards to business.

The Security department acts as the invisible shield, ensuring a safe, secure and serene environment.

Role Overview

As we build our operational team, we are looking for an exceptional Security Officer to help protect the safety, security, and reputation of The Pembroke while delivering a discreet, polished, and welcoming five-star experience for every member and guest. This role combines professional security standards with luxury hospitality, requiring someone who is highly observant, calm under pressure, computer literate, well presented, and confident communicating with members, guests, colleagues, contractors, and visitors in a warm, respectful, and professional manner.

The successful candidate must hold a valid SIA licence and will preferably have experience within a five-star hotel, private members’ club, luxury residential or similarly high-end environment. You will operate in accordance with the club’s premises licence, Operational Management Plan, standard operating procedures, and member Terms & Conditions. The role requires excellent judgement, attention to detail, discretion, emotional intelligence, and the ability to identify, prevent, and respond to security concerns while maintaining the calm, elegant atmosphere expected in a five-star setting.

Key Responsibilities

Member Experience & Five-Star Service

  • Welcome members, guests, and visitors with warmth, confidence, and professionalism, ensuring every interaction reflects the standards of a five-star private members’ club.
  • Provide discreet assistance to members and guests as required, including directions, general enquiries, accessibility support, luggage, umbrellas, taxis, and safe departures.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully at all times, using positive language, active listening, and sound judgement when handling questions, complaints, or sensitive situations.
  • Maintain a calm, composed, and approachable presence while remaining alert to potential risks, suspicious behaviour, or service issues that may affect the member experience.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for The Pembroke, maintaining immaculate personal presentation, discretion, confidentiality, and a consistently positive attitude.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
