Role Title: Security Vulnerability Analyst
Location: Barrow, Cumbria, LA14 1AF, UK (# days office)
Duration: 3-month contract
Pay Rate: £429 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)
Contractor Must Be Sc Cleared (Active) - Mod Sc Cleared Preferred
The candidate must have 3 months left on their SC clearance to allow time for interview, offer, and transfer of clearance
Role Description:
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans using Outpost24 to identify potential security risks within the IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and impact.
- Develop and implement strategies to remediate identified vulnerabilities, ensuring timely resolution.
- Continuously monitor security systems and tools to detect potential threats and provide regular reports on the security posture and remediation progress.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal security policies.
- Provide training to staff on best practices for security awareness and vulnerability management.
- Identify and communicate current and emerging information security threats.
- Assess current technology architecture for vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and for possible upgrades or improvements.
- Arrange and conduct Security Assurance Reviews and Assessments.
- Produce Security Assurance Review and Assessment Reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
