AI Security Analyst
The AI Security Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks associated with artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data-driven systems. This role bridges traditional cybersecurity with emerging AI-specific threats, ensuring systems are secure, compliant, resilient, and trustworthy throughout their lifecycle.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in cybersecurity, understands AI/ML architectures and data pipelines, and can translate technical risk into actionable guidance for engineering, product development, and leadership teams.
General Responsibilities
- Key participant in the overall development, support, and maintenance of the service performance management process
- Organizes the creation and maintenance of a running catalogue of IT services
- Analyzes, reviews, and measures service level performance against agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with business units and Operating Level Agreements (OLAs) with service providers
- Works closely with business teams and service providers to negotiate and agree on service level requirements for new or modified services
- Collaborates to define service delivery metrics for evaluating quality and performance
- Produces regular performance reports to stakeholders
- Facilitates service level review processes with stakeholders
- Initiates actions to maintain or improve service levels
- Acts as a change agent, implementing and managing quality improvement processes in service delivery
Core Security Responsibilities
- Assess security risks across AI/ML models, training data, pipelines, APIs, and deployment environments
- Identify and mitigate AI-specific threats, including:
- Data poisoning attacks
- Model inversion exploits
- Prompt injection attacks
- Model theft
- Adversarial attacks
- Design and implement security controls for AI systems:
- Access controls
- Monitoring mechanisms
- Anomaly detection systems
- Develop a systemic vulnerability monitoring process, incorporation customized agents, third-party security tools, and AI models
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for AI applications
- Support secure-by-design practices across the AI lifecycle:
- Design
- Training
- Testing
- Deployment
- Retirement
- Contribute to AI security policies, standards, and guardrails aligned with organizational risk tolerance
- Monitor AI systems for misuse, abuse, and anomalous behavior
- Assist in AI-related security incident investigations
- Develop incident response playbooks for AI systems and automated decision-making

Experience & Qualifications
Academic & Professional
- A university degree (e.g., Bachelor’s) OR equivalent industry experience
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and AI/ML architectures

- Communication – Clearly convey complex technical findings, risks, and recommendations

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Cybersecurity
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Or equivalent proven experience
- 5+ years in:
- Cybersecurity
- Application security
- Cloud security (or related field)
Specialized AI Experience
- Hands-on experience with:
- AI/ML platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face)
- Frameworks (MLflow, SageMaker, Databricks)
- MLOps (CI/CD for models, deployment, monitoring)
- Deep familiarity with AI threat models, including:
- Adversarial ML
- Prompt injection vectors
- Model leakage risks
- Expertise in securing cloud-native AI solutions (containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines for AI models)
- Knowledge of:
- AI governance
- Model risk management
- Responsible AI principles (fairness, transparency, explainability)
Tooling & Operational Experience
- 1+ years with:
- Ticketing systems (ServiceNow)
- SIEM tools (examples: Cylance, CrowdStrike Falcon, Carbon Black)
- DLP tools (Proofpoint)
- Vulnerability management platforms (Rapid7, CrowdStrike, Tanium)
