About the Role

Due to growing demand, we are seeking Security Architect Consultants to join our growing UK team. Applications are welcome from professionals at all stages of development — from those building their architectural capability, to seasoned experts eager to shape direction, mentor others, and influence complex programmes.

You’ll play a key role in helping clients design secure, resilient digital services, contributing at a level matching your experience while being supported to grow your impact over time.

This is a hybrid role requiring travel across the M4 corridor and to the North West of England.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and lead the technical security design of systems and services across multiple projects
  • Design and implement robust security solutions to protect organizational assets
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to explain:
    • Security decisions
    • Trade-offs
    • Risks
  • Act as a trusted advisor on security architecture and design, escalating and resolving complex issues
  • Provide expert recommendations on:
    • Security architecture
    • Design principles
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses
  • Define, apply, and evolve:
    • Security standards
    • Guidelines
    • Best practices
  • Collaborate closely with IT and business teams to embed security in system designs
  • Investigate cybersecurity incidents and events, recommending:
    • Corrective actions
    • Mitigating measures
  • For experienced consultants:
    • Coach and support other architects
    • Contribute to practice development

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years' of experience in either IT or cybersecurity, with a proven track record in a dedicated security-focused role
  • Hold relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent)
  • Flip.openable.closeable-holder profound expertise in core security concepts, applying them at a technical level
  • UK Government security clearance (SC/DV) required for the role
  • Proficiency in securing:
    • Network infrastructures
    • Firewalls
    • IDS/IPS
    • VPNs
    • Related technologies

  • Ability to adapt to a wide range of delivery projects, ensuring security solutions are tailored to specific client needs
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain security and risk implications to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
