Security Architect

Role Overview
- Location: Farnborough (Hybrid)

What You'll Be Doing
- Design secure architectures for cloud-based systems supporting Defence and National Security programmes.
- Provide technical security leadership across customer projects and internal platforms.
- Identify, assess and manage security risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Produce security evidence and documentation to support regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Develop secure-by-design solutions that reduce vulnerabilities and strengthen resilience.
- Support Agile delivery teams working across Kubernetes, DevSecOps and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, Infrastructure, DevSecOps and Cyber Security teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
- Help organisations safely adopt modern technologies within highly secure environments.

Main Skills Needed
- Experience designing secure cloud solutions within government or highly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of security architecture and secure-by-design principles.
- Knowledge of threat modelling methodologies such as STRIDE.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, DevSecOps and modern CI/CD practices.
- Security engineering experience across Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Familiarity with MOD security policies and standards, including JSP 440, JSP 453/604 and JSP 892.
- Excellent technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset, strong analytical thinking and a passion for solving complex security challenges.
