Security Architect (Cloud)
Join a forward-thinking organisation delivering large-scale technology transformation across a highly regulated environment. As a Cloud Security Architect, you'll play a key role in ensuring cloud-native solutions are designed securely from day one, helping protect critical services and data.
Role Overview
- Location: Hybrid/Warrington (2 days per week)
- Package: £70,000pa - £90,000pa & benefits
- Industry: Technology / Regulated Services
What You'll Be Doing
- Design secure cloud architectures across Azure, AWS and/or GCP environments.
- Conduct threat modelling and security risk assessments for cloud-based solutions.
- Produce high and low-level security designs aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
- Embed security throughout the project lifecycle, working alongside Solution Architects and delivery teams.
- Review cloud solutions against security standards, policies and best practice.
- Support security governance activities and provide remediation recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement secure-by-design principles.
- Advise stakeholders on cloud security risks, compliance and technical controls.

Main Skills Needed
- Strong experience designing secure cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
- Knowledge of Azure, AWS or Google Cloud security services.
- Experience with threat modelling methodologies (STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK etc.).
- Understanding of IAM, encryption, networking and cloud-native security controls.
- Knowledge of CIS, NIST, ISO27001 and security architecture frameworks.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- CISSP, CCSP or equivalent certifications desirable.
