Security / Identity and Access Management (IAM)
UK Government Outside IR35 £550-£600 Remote Start ASAP 6 month contract
SR2 is working with a consultancy supporting the delivery of a major central government data transformation programme. They are looking for an experienced Security Identity & Access Management Specialist to help design the security architecture for a large-scale federated data-sharing platform.
You'll play a key role in shaping how organisations securely discover, access and share data, leading the design of identity, access control and policy enforcement capabilities across a complex, multi-organisation ecosystem. Working closely with architects, developers and governance teams, you'll translate security, risk and business requirements into scalable, practical technical solutions.

Requirements:
- Strong security architecture experience delivering complex enterprise or federated platforms.
- Deep knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM), federated identity and Zero Trust principles.
- Experience designing Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) solutions and policy-as-code using Open Policy Agent (OPA).
- Strong understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML and SCIM.
- Experience securing cloud-native, API-driven and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of threat modelling, security non-functional requirements and security assurance.
- Experience integrating with enterprise identity providers and IAM platforms.
- Ability to produce high-quality security architecture and design documentation.
- Comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous experience within central government, regulated industries or critical national infrastructure would be beneficial.
