Security Architecture Lead

Role: Security Architecture Lead Location: London, 3 days on-site Salary: up to £140,000 fixed salary (DOE) + bonus/benefits Reporting Line: CISO

Lawrence Harvey are partnered with a fast-growing and well-capitalised InsureTech that are searching for an experienced Security Architecture & Assurance Lead to work directly with the CISO, strengthening security capability and embedding security across the business.

This newly created role has been driven by the build of a new platform from the ground up, giving you ownership of security risk, architecture assurance, governance and the wider technology security roadmap. An excellent opportunity for those who want to deliver security change in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

NOTE - this is very much a hands-on, technical role. You will need to currently be delivering security change and projects to be successful and to be considered

A core focus of this role is within a Software Security capacity, but not limited to other areas.

Key Responsbilities: Leading threat modelling, security risk assessments and architecture reviews, embedding secure-by-design principles across technology delivery. Owning ISMS improvements, including policies, risk registers, control frameworks, audits and security maturity initiatives. Managing supplier security assurance, due diligence, contractual controls, monitoring and remediation. Defining Azure security standards across IAM, data protection, Key Vault, logging, monitoring, CSPM and IaC reviews. Embedding security into SDLC, CI/CD and governance processes, providing pragmatic risk guidance and secure delivery support. Supporting Architecture & Change Boards by integrating security gates and SLAs into delivery processes.

Key Requirements: Someone with a secure-by-design, shift-left approach to Security Architecture and Assurance. You'll need to be incredibly well-versed in processes and methodologies tied to this Proficiency within the Software Security, Application Security and DevSecOps ecosystem Strong experience with modern cloud environments, preferably Azure Experience managing MSSP's is desirable but not essential Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate technical concepts Pragmatic and able to balance security requirements with business outcomes. A genuine passion for security and how it integrates into a wider business operating model.
