RiverTech is seeking an experienced Foreign Visit System (FVS) Analyst/Security Specialist

RiverTech is seeking an experienced Foreign Visit System (FVS) Analyst/Security Specialist to support a customer at the Joint Staff Security Office South (JSSO-S) Suffolk Complex in the Foreign Visit Program. The Security Specialist will utilize the Foreign Visit System (FVS) and a Security Database (SDB) to process and maintain foreign visit records.

Responsibilities

The Security Specialist will be responsible for the following actions:

  • Processes foreign visit requests (FVRs), clearance validation notifications, and transfer-in-status requests at the Joint Staff Security Office South Suffolk Complex office.
  • Coordinate foreign visit requests for the Joint Staff and coordinate with the JSSO-North Pentagon support team when required.
  • Prepare forms, draft correspondences, and update systems and databases used for facilitating and documenting visit requests.
  • Resolve access eligibility issues when a visitor does not appear to have the requisite clearance and access to support a classified visit and administrative staff is unable to resolve an access issue.
  • Manages the FVS by entering FVRs in the Security Database (SDB) and processes amended FVRs in the SDB.
  • Processes all incoming FVRs for the Joint Staff Point of Contacts (POC) and submitting for Foreign Visit Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) approval.
  • Provide additional administrative security support upon request to the JSSO in security disciplines such as Information Security (INFOSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), or Foreign Disclosure during vacancies or increased operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working in relative security disciplines.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the U.S. Government Security Programs and skills in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements.
  • Knowledge and expertise in Microsoft (MS) applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working on the Security Policy Automation Network (SPAN) or similar networks.
  • Experience working in or with Department of War (DoW) organizations.
  • Experience with Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
