Security Business Development Manager – London - £55,000

I am currently representing a successful Security specialist company that delivers commercial security solutions, including CCTV, access control and intercom systems, to a range of high-value clients across the UK.

Due to continued growth and expansion of their commercial security division, they are seeking an experienced Security Business Development Manager to join their team. This role will focus on generating new commercial opportunities, developing relationships with key stakeholders and securing large-scale security projects.

The position would suit an experienced security professional with a strong commercial background, an established network within the construction and property sectors, and a proven track record of winning CCTV and access control projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building long-term relationships and driving revenue growth across the commercial market.

Salary Package

  • £40,000 - £55,000

Duties

  • Managing business development activities and generating new commercial security opportunities
  • Identifying and securing new commercial security projects, with a focus on CCTV, access control and intercom solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key industry stakeholders, including developers, contractors, consultants, quantity surveyors (QSs), architects and project managers.
  • Generating opportunities across commercial offices, high-end commercial developments and hospitality projects.
  • Managing the full sales process from initial lead generation through to contract award.
  • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of commercial opportunities and proactively targeting new business.
  • Attending client meetings, networking events and industry engagements to develop new relationships and strengthen existing connections.
  • Preparing proposals, quotations and presentations tailored to client requirements.
  • Working closely with internal technical, engineering and operational teams to ensure solutions meet client expectations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activity, opportunities and pipeline progression through company systems.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Approximately 10 years’ experience within the security industry
  • Proven track record of generating significant commercial revenue through CCTV, access control and electronic security projects.
  • Established network of contacts within the commercial property and construction sectors, including contractors, developers, consultants and QSs.
  • Strong understanding of commercial security solutions and project delivery.
  • Experience managing large-value projects, ideally from £200K upwards.
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially driven with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into successful projects.
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline and work independently to achieve business growth objectives.
