Job Description

As a Cloud Security Consultant, you will be the technical security expert driving customers throughout their AWS cloud transformation journey. Your expertise ensures security is measurable, visible, and governed, while making enterprise-class tools and processes actionable.

About the Role

You’ll act as a trusted advisor, leading security design workstreams, implementing compliance controls, and engaging with stakeholders to address risks. Leveraging your deep technical expertise and stakeholder collaboration skills, you’ll drive customer success tactically, operationally, and strategically, transforming security maturity through:

  • Consultative leadership: Lead technical and security workstreams to design resilient environments and support deployments.
  • Strategic initiatives: Partner with Architecture & DevOps teams to build and evolve security automation frameworks and project delivery.
  • Knowledge sharing: Mentor team members, enabling AWS security best practices across engagements.

Your Responsibilities

  • Technical leadership: Guide security implementation across tools and plans for infrastructure, development teams, and emerging risks.
  • Close collaboration: Work with Enterprise Architecture and IT Operations to strengthen security posture in innovation-led and mainframe tech stacks.
  • Strategic security delivery:
    • Drive quantitative impacts by hardening customers’ environments.
    • Mitigate risks through preventive controls (e.g., DLP, SIEM, monitoring).
    • Apply security lead practices to transform company security outcomes.
  • Support & scale:
    • Manage pre-, mid-, and post-project solutions for compliance, technical debt, architecture, and workstream execution.
    • Enable teams via the patterns, methodologies, and tools instilled in engagements.
  • Continuous improvement:
    • Engage with customers to maintain enterprise security features, automation, and governance.
    • Build a techno-commercial strategy and influence key decision-makers to advocate for prioritisation of security.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
