About the Role
The Cloud Security Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of AWS-based systems and infrastructure.
Key duties include:
- Implementing and managing security controls
- Monitoring for threats and vulnerabilities
- Responding to security incidents in AWS cloud environments
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Enterprise Architecture, IT Operations) to maintain a secure cloud posture

As an experienced technology professional, you will be expected to:
- Act as a technical leader for customer engagements or security workstreams, guiding teams of consultants
- Lead internal initiatives delivering quantifiable business outcomes
- Develop strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
- Enable and engage delivery partners in project delivery
- Provide mentorship and coaching to help teams grow
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture and solution implementation
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in two or more of the following:
- Cloud Security
- Application Security (security SDLC, threat modeling, code review)
- Identity & Access Management
- Network Security
- Data Protection
- Incident Response
- Experienced in implementing enterprise security solutions (e.g., Data Loss Prevention, WAF, SIEM)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
- Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders (e.g., in pre-sales)
- Proficient in AWS (services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
- AWS Professional-level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional)
- Experience with automation/tools such as Terraform, Python
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Developing security capabilities in code
- Deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Implementing enterprise security solutions (e.g., Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Anti-DDoS)
