Job Description
The Cloud Security Consultant will ensure the security and compliance of AWS-based systems and infrastructure, implementing security controls, monitoring threats/vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents. Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Enterprise Architecture, IT Operations), you’ll establish and maintain a robust AWS cloud security posture.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as the technical leader for customer engagements or security workstreams, guiding teams of consultants.
- Drive internal initiatives with measurable impact.
- Build strategic relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

Solution Design & Implementation
- Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Enable and engage delivery partners in project execution.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to develop others.
As an experienced professional, you’ll:
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements
- 7+ years in cloud architecture and solution implementation.
- 7+ years of hands-on security experience in two or more areas:
- Cloud Security
- Application Security (e.g., security SDLC, threat modeling, code review)
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Network Security
- Data Protection (e.g., DLP)
- Incident Response
- Experience implementing enterprise-grade security tools (e.g., WAF, SIEM).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of security/compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences (e.g., pre-sales environments).
- AWS Specialist (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Professional*)* certifications.
- Proficiency in architecture tools (e.g., Terraform) and scripting (e.g., Python).
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Building security capabilities in code.
- Deploying infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC).
