Job Description
As a Site Security Controller, you will lead the hands-on delivery of security governance and protective practices across Naval Ships programmes, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Your role involves:
- Close collaboration with cross-functional teams, operational staff, and external partners to create a secure working environment.
- Acting as an Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assess risks, develop mitigation plans, and implement security best practices to protect people, assets, and information.
- Supporting secure and confident delivery of complex Naval Ship projects.

Core Duties
- Act as the primary security point of contact for assigned sites and facilities.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with customer and company security requirements.
- Implement Security Risk Management to address and reduce risks to an acceptable level.
- Hold contractual responsibility for the security management of government classified assets and information.
- Handle security incidents promptly, proportionately, and effectively to minimise damage to the organisation.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of GovS 007: Security, Joint Service Publications, and Information Assurance Standards.
- Ability to assess, analyse, and report on security measures, ensuring policies remain up-to-date and robust.
- Experience in Defence or another regulated industry is highly desirable and considered an asset.
