About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Security Engineer to join a highly skilled Proactive Security team within a leading global financial services organisation. This role will focus on the development, implementation, and enhancement of security technologies, ensuring effective threat mitigation through both offensive and preventative security measures.
The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening security monitoring, detection engineering, automation, threat modelling, and incident response capabilities across a complex enterprise environment.

Role:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of security measures.
- Threat Detection & Security Monitoring
- Optimise SIEM performance, data retention, and operational costs.
- Provide a strong level consultancy when it comes to engineering security solutions.
- Provide input for architecture plans with consideration of current standards.
- Monitor new and emerging technologies that could be adopted.
- Liaison with key stakeholders.
- Ensure smooth handover from engineering to production.

Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in Security Engineering/Security Automation.
- Working knowledge over Linux and Windows systems.
- Advanced proficiency with SIEM query languages.
- Strong understanding of networking technologies.
- Understanding of enterprise security.
- Knowledge/Understanding of multiple security technologies e.g. SIEM, EDR.
- Good communication skills.
- Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python.
