Join Gamma, and you’ll be empowered to make an impact, influence our security posture, and grow your career alongside some of the best minds in the industry. Who are we looking for? We are looking for a Technical Security Engineer to join our Group Security function. This role is ideal for a technically strong security professional who enjoys designing and delivering security solutions across a diverse technology landscape. You’ll act as a trusted subject matter expert, working closely with technology, engineering, and IT teams to ensure Gamma’s security controls and tooling are robust, effective, and future-proof. What will you be doing day-to-day? Designing, implementing, and maintaining technical security systems to protect Gamma’s products, applications, systems, and networks. Developing, maintaining, and improving security standards, controls, and procedures across the organisation. Working closely with Technology, Engineering, and IT teams to identify, assess, and resolve security risks and issues. Ensuring modern, best-practice technical security approaches are applied across a broad and evolving technology stack. Acting as a key point of contact between Group Security Engineering and Security Operations during high-priority security incidents. Serving as Gamma’s subject matter expert for security tooling and technical controls. Contributing to technical security thought leadership, helping to shape future security architecture and capabilities. What you’ll need Essential Experience working within a technology-driven organisation. Exposure to a broad range of technologies including Windows, Linux, containers, and cloud environments. Proven experience designing, developing, and delivering technical security controls. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex environments and engineer effective security solutions. Sound decision-making skills, able to recommend and justify appropriate security tooling and approaches. Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to influence and build strong working relationships across multiple teams. A proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous learning and improvement. Desirable CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst+ (CySA+). GIAC (SANS) certifications. Telecommunications industry experience. Security engineering or systems administration background. Experience supporting projects and product teams to identify security gaps and define remediation plans. Development experience and familiarity with threat modelling, security frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF), and risk management. Strong written and verbal presentation skills. What do we offer you? At Gamma, we believe in work–life balance, which is why we offer 25 days of annual leave, plus an extra day off for your birthday. We also provide a volunteer day, allowing you to support a cause that matters to you. Family is important to us. With enhanced maternity and paternity pay, we support you at every stage of life. Our contributory pension scheme helps you plan for the future, with Gamma increasing contributions in line with yours. Your wellbeing comes first.
