Mid-Level Security Engineer (DevSecOps) – Security, AWS, Terraform, CI/CD
Oliver Bernard are currently seeking a Mid-Level Security Engineer to join an established tech company, based in Oxford, as part of a transformation period across the tech team following the spin up of a new Security Platform team, and will involve a wealth of greenfield work across Cloud (AWS), Container, Infrastructure and Security technologies.
Having grown this new team organically, they’re now looking for a Mid-Level level Engineer to work closely with their Security Lead to drive, scale, and build out / drive Security and DevSecOps best practices across the broader tech team. Security is at the heart of what they do, so integrating a security first approach into their DevOps way of working is also a particular focus at this moment in time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
