Security Engineer
Cyber Security Engineer (6-month Contract) – Cambridgeshire
We are seeking multiple Cyber Security Engineers to support the delivery and maintenance of secure, mission-critical environments.
Working within a skilled security engineering team, you will help implement and maintain security controls, improve cyber resilience, and support secure system operations across complex platforms and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage security tooling and controls
- Maintain system security posture and security baselines
- Support SIEM and Protective Monitoring capabilities
- Identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on secure system design and delivery

Skills & Experience
Essential Requirements
- Strong understanding of defence in depth security principles
- Experience with CIS, NIST CSF, and MOD aligned security standards
- Hands-on experience with:
- Endpoint security and DLP
- Microsoft and Linux environments
- Networking and boundary protection technologies
- SIEM and monitoring platforms
- Authentication technologies, including LDAP, SAML, and PKI
- Experience across cloud, virtualised, and hybrid environments
- Ability to work effectively across engineering and operational teams

Desirable
- Experience within defence or highly regulated environments is highly desirable.
