Job Description
The below job description will outline this position of: Security Small Works & Service Engineer
Typically, this person will be responsible for carrying out small works installations, upgrades, additions, fault rectification, commissioning, and servicing of fire and security systems across commercial and residential sites, ensuring all work is completed to industry standards and customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, modify, upgrade, and commission CCTV, intruder alarm, access control, and fire alarm systems.
- Carry out small works projects, system additions, and upgrades across customer sites.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on a range of fire and security systems.
- Test and commission systems to ensure full operational functionality.
- Complete all relevant documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with BS5839, BS7671, NSI/SSAIB standards, and company procedures.
- Liaise professionally with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment to a high standard.
- Participate in an on-call rota as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience within fire and security small works, installation, commissioning, and servicing.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good knowledge of current fire and security industry regulations and standards.
- Experience working with systems such as Advanced, Kentec, C-Tec, CEM, PAC, Avigilon, Hikvision, Dahua, Paxton, Texecom, Galaxy, and Pyronix is advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Right to work within the UK.
