Security Guard Vacancy Reference: CLA- 420 Position: Full-time Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire, UK This role operates on a rotating shift pattern, including both day and night shifts Salary: £30,000 per annum At Callen-Lenz, we are expanding the limits of what is possible. We specialise in crewed and uncrewed aircraft operations and technology and having recently received investment into the business we are going through a period of rapid growth and development and are looking for key roles to assist with these changes. Reporting to the Deputy Security Controller, you will be part of a team providing 24 hour security and site surveillance. You will be based at our main site in Chilmark, Wiltshire but hold responsibility for our other locations in the local area. Responsibilities First responder to all security incidents. Alerting second response key holders if and when required. Patrolling of the site and surrounding area to ensure safety and security. Keeping an accurate record of any employees or visitors attending the site. Daily use of security equipment and vehicles. Attend all Callen-Lenz sites when required. Survey and monitor CCTV where relevant. Be the main point of contact for site security during shift times. Provide information and support to the Security Controller. Escalate any major activity to the relevant teams in a fast and agreed timeframe. Ensure any issues with the building itself are reported to the facilities manager. Enforce all safety and security related policies at all times. Provide a visible security presence for the sites and in reception. Perform other duties when required. Health & Safety Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner. When required or directed, participate in any health and safety training. Qualifications: SIA License would be advantageous but is not essential. Skills and Experience Essential: Previous experience in a similar security role. Ability to work alone and under own initiative. A confident approach and the ability to handle confrontation when necessary. Confident with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word). Strong attention to detail. Desirable: Experience of being solely responsible for building security during a shift. Personal Attributes Must be a British Citizen or have an existing right to work in the UK A full valid UK driving license Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK Callen-Lenz is an equal opportunities employer, committed to building an inclusive working environment. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
