Security Guard

We’re looking for a professional and dependable Security Guard to work at our new Sherburn-in-Elmet distribution centre.
The Role
As a Security Guard, you’ll be a visible and trusted presence at the heart of our operation. Acting as the first point of contact for site security, you’ll help ensure our people, premises and products are always protected.
From welcoming visitors and checking in delivery vehicles to monitoring CCTV and biometric access systems, no two days will be the same. You’ll conduct patrols, respond calmly and decisively to incidents, and maintain accurate records - all while upholding the high standards expected across our growing operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols and monitoring of the premises.
- Respond swiftly to alarms, incidents, and disturbances.
- Manage site access, verifying staff, contractors, and visitors.
- Operate and monitor CCTV, alarm, and other security systems.
- Maintain accurate security logs, reports, and incident records.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in security, facilities, or a similar role.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, decisive, and professional approach under pressure.

It would be advantageous if you also have:
- A valid SIA Licence.
- First Aid training.
- Experience with CCTV and alarm systems.
Hours of work
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week). Flexibility is essential, as shifts will include evenings, weekends, and additional cover during seasonal peaks.
