Security Manager
The Security Manager is a full-time, hybrid, and on-site role based in the United Kingdom, with a mix of on-site work and flexible work-from-home arrangements. This position oversees the planning, implementation, and monitoring of security measures to protect people, information, and infrastructure.
Day-to-day responsibilities include managing physical security procedures, coordinating security staff, supervising access control and incident response, and liaising with internal stakeholders and external partners. The Security Manager oversees network security policies, conducts risk assessments, and ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The role also involves preparing reports, leading security awareness initiatives, and continuously improving security practices in line with organizational objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyse client security requirements and develop effective security strategies and procedures.
- Plan, implement, and monitor security measures to protect properties, personnel, and assets.
- Supervise, deploy, and allocate duties to security officers across multiple sites.
- Conduct site risk assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
- Manage incident response, investigations, and reporting of security breaches.
- Ensure compliance with SIA licensing requirements and relevant UK legislation.
- Train, mentor, and monitor performance of security staff.
- Liaise with clients to provide professional security advice and maintain service standards.
- Maintain accurate records including incident logs, staff documentation, and compliance reports.
- Support operational planning including rota management and workforce coordination.
- Monitor service delivery and implement improvements where necessary.

- Demonstrated expertise in physical security and security management, including access control, surveillance, incident handling, and staff coordination.
- Proven ability to develop and enforce security standards, procedures, and training programs across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond effectively to security incidents.
- Clear and confident communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement at multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup, managing responsibilities office, on-site, and collaborating with management.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in security supervision or management.
- Strong understanding of security operations and risk management.
- Experience supervising staff and managing site operations.
- Ability to assess threats and respond effectively to incidents.
