Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Security Manager to lead the security operation for a prestigious construction client on a high-risk site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day security team, ensuring site safety and security standards are maintained, and acting as the key point of contact between the client, site management team, and security provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full security operation across the construction site.
- Act as the main point of contact for the client, project team, logistics team, and security officers.
- Supervise, brief, and support the security team to ensure a professional and consistent service.
- Ensure all officers are correctly deployed, equipped, and understand their duties.
- Maintain high standards of access control, gatehouse management, patrols, incident response, and reporting.
- Monitor site risks including unauthorised access, theft, protest activity, public interface, fire risks, and health and safety concerns.
- Ensure all incidents, observations, and defects are reported accurately and promptly.
- Review daily occurrence books, patrol reports, digital reporting platforms, and incident logs.
- Conduct regular site inspections and security audits.
- Support investigations following incidents or breaches.
- Liaise with emergency services, client representatives, and contractors when required.
- Ensure compliance with site RAMS, emergency procedures, assignment instructions, and client requirements.
- Deliver toolbox talks and briefings to the security team.
- Maintain a strong visible management presence across the site.
- Escalate issues appropriately and provide clear updates to senior management.
- Support mobilisation, demobilisation, and any changes to the site security plan.

Essential Requirements

- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Strong understanding of access control, contractor management, and site logistics.
- Experience working on high-risk or high-profile sites.
- Excellent client-facing skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to produce clear reports, incident summaries, and daily updates.
Desirable Requirements
- FREC 3 qualification.
- First Aid at Work.
- CCTV licence.
