About the Role
Crisis24’s IRM-Global Operations-Security division seeks a Security Manager, Global Operations to join our London Operations Centre, supporting emergency response, travel security advice, and evacuation coordination.
Our global security operations team helps clients fulfill their duty of care and travel risk management, providing pre-reporting and crisis response services for routine and high-risk travel.
Key Skills & Knowledge Required

- Pre-travel security and ongoing travel security assessment/advice
- Asset protection, risk management, and mitigation strategies
- Proactive threat monitoring, communications, and alerting
- Incident management, crisis response, and support
- Global evacuation security services
Core Responsibilities
The Security Manager, Global Operations plays a pivotal role in supporting clients, Global Operations Centre (GOC) staff, and the business. Key duties include:
1. Risk Assessment & Operational Planning
- Lead travel and threat assessments using privileged/open-source intelligence platforms
- Develop operational risk assessments, method statements, and action plans
- Manage ad hoc travel security tasks (secure transport, protection, monitoring)
- Design and execute complex operational solutions aligned with client needs
2. Client Advisory & Communications
- Deliver tailored pre-travel briefings for expatriates, NGOs, corporates, and C-suite executives
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) with security recommendations and mitigation measures
- Provide emergency security/evacuation advice (attending planning meetings/telecons)
- Justify operational methodologies to clients during escalating incidents
3. Crisis Response & Contingency Management
- Monitor global events, assess client exposure, and support evacuation planning
- Identify exit routes, transport hubs, and relocation sites (with mapping & intelligence)
- Lead evacuation operations with real-time oversight
- Maintain Concept of Operations (CONOPS) library for emergency responses

4. Task Execution & Oversight
- Enforce scope-defined security tasks, timelines, escalations, and reporting
- Track task completion, operational logs, and invoicing
- Supervise live operations ensuring high customer satisfaction & service standards
5. Team Supervision & Development
- Supervise and train Security Specialists in daily operations
- Oversee Global Operations Centre staff recruitment, onboarding, training
- Conduct coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and readiness simulations
- Manage staff rostering and leave approvals
6. Quality Assurance & Efficiency
- Uphold quality control and client satisfaction standards
- Identify process improvements (technology, personnel, workflow)
- Contribute to KPIs, performance metrics, and benchmarking
7. Documentation & Compliance
- Draft post-operational reports (internal learning/external case studies)
- Develop GOC protocols and client-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain archives of security tasks, lessons learned, and intelligence
8. Financial Coordination
- Structure task-based cost models, manage vendor quotes
- Work with Finance on proper billing and contract payments
9. Platform & Compliance
- Assist in tech platform implementation and call-handling systems
- Ensure adherence to company policies (InfoSec, data protection)
- Stay updated on Crisis24’s services, tools, and client relationships
10. Representation & On-Call
- Represent security team in internal/external meetings (including as deputy Head of Security)
- Periodic urgent travel deployments with Incidence Management Teams (IMT)
11. Rotational Duty Management
- Serve as Operations Duty Manager (one week every eight weeks)
- Provide 24/7 crisis support via client-facing advice, team coordination

Critical: Emergency Response Expectations
During crises, you will:
- Deliver rapid safety/evacuation advice (24/7)
- Plan solutions, coordinate assets (support staff, security firms, third-party vendors)
- Act as a communications bridge between clients, health/safety teams, and contractors
- Authorise and direct real-time emergency support actions
Requirements & Experience
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Native/fluent English (verbal/written); additional languages highly valued
- Exceptional communication (client briefings, stakeholder management, senior presentations)
- Leadership – motivating teams in high-pressure scenarios
- Critical thinking & decision-making under time constraints
- Strategic planning, task-prioritisation, and time management
- Operational execution managed through fragmented logistics
- Worldwide travel experience with global situational awareness
- Tech-savvy with MS Office + adaptable to new systems
- Financial awareness in a global organisation
Qualifications & Professional Background
- 2–5 years in government/military, law enforcement, NGO, or corporate security operations
- Undergraduate degree (+) in security studies, political science, or related fields
- Crisis management certification (desirable)
- Proven hostage/hostile environment experience and intelligence analysis skills considered assets
