Security Guard / Door Supervisor

Job Overview

To protect customer property, people, and/or assets by providing security services in line with published Assignment Instructions (AI) and any subsequent updates.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring service excellence that meets or exceeds Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), aiding retainer of customer contracts.
  • Undertaking additional training to enhance professional development.

Main Duties

Operations

  • Ensure full compliance with all policies, legal, and regulatory requirements as directed.
  • Complete all assigned tasks and duties as defined within the Assignment Instructions (AI).
  • Proactively review published AI to stay informed of changes and suggest improvements.
  • Hold a valid SIA front-line licence (either Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and CCTV PSS SIA Licence at all times.
  • Comply with industry safety laws, follow procedures appropriately, and always work in a systematic and orderly manner.

Training

  • Complete all required competency training.
  • Continuously develop job knowledge through directed training and professional development initiatives.
  • Ensure SIA licence renewal 16 weeks prior to expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

  • Monitor and immediately report any safety hazards or potential risks.
  • Stay alert for threats and take preventative actions where necessary.
  • Maintain professional conduct even during challenging customer interactions.
  • Complete detailed incident report entries promptly after occurrences.
  • Complete scheduled check calls and adhere to assigned timings.
  • Directly engage with emergency services and report incidents to the Communication Centre.

Background & Experience

  • Previous Security Experience preferred
  • Valid SIA License required
  • SC Clearance strongly desirable
