£13.45 per hour
📅 Working Hours
Average 42 hours per week – 4 days on, 4 days off (days and nights) Rotating shifts: 07:00–19:00 (days) & 19:00–07:00 (nights)
🎓 About the Role
As a Security Officer at Securitas, you’ll work alongside one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of advanced composite materials and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) solutions, supporting critical sectors including defence, aerospace, rail, automotive, medical, marine, and energy.
What You’ll Do
Your role is key in maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant site. You’ll prioritise security by:
- Protecting people, assets, and operations
- Managing access control
- Responding to incidents
- Supporting site safety standards
- Ensuring smooth, uninterrupted manufacturing operations
Site Requirement
Footnote: Due to security needs, you must be willing and able to obtain a SC Clearance (for this position). You must be a British National who has lived in the UK for the past 5 years.
🔐 Responsibilities
Protection of Property and Premises
- Monitor alarms/CCTV and prevent unauthorised access
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols
- Manage traffic, parking, keys, and locking/unlocking protocols
- Check and maintain surname equipment while keeping detailed records
- Issue visitor passes and manage equipment per procedures
- Handle lost property according to guidelines

Health and Safety
- Support staff, visitors, and contractors to maintain site safety
- Enforce and follow health and safety procedures while reporting hazards
- Keep emergency routes free at all times
- Call SOC on emergency support and follow instructions carefully
- Investigate all fire alarm activations _(Note: This list is representative but not exhaustive—flexibility and problem-solving are key!)*
📋 Requirements
Essential Criteria (Non-Negotiable)
- Must be a British National living in the UK for 5+ years
- Eligible to obtain SC Clearance (this is mandatory for this position)
- Holds or can secure an SIA Licence
- Valid Right to Work in the UK, with a checkable 5-year history
- Hold a +First Aid Certificate
- Aged 18+, with no criminal convictions
- Full UK driving licence (own vehicle essential)
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in security or gatehouse duties
