Vacancy – Security Officers (SIA Licence and CCTV SIA Licence required)

Location - Baker Street

Position: 1 x Security Officers (SIA Licence and CCTV SIA Licence Required)

Contract: Average 56 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 7 - 3 - 7 - 4 (Mon - Sun - Days, Nights, Weekends, Bank holidays) Overtime available

Role Overview

As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, security, and customer service standards of our site. You will work closely with the on-site supervisor and management team to carry out all duties to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Complete all assigned duties as per instructions from supervisors and management
  • Report and act on any security breaches to line managers and the 24-hour control room
  • Assist with any security, safety, or criminal investigations
  • Log all incidents in the reporting system accurately and promptly
  • Conduct internal and external patrols of buildings and car parks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Follow all site-specific Assignment Instructions (AIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments (RAs), memos, and toolbox talks
  • Wear and maintain a valid SIA licence while on duty
  • Operate CCTV equipment where required
  • Attend training courses as directed
  • Comply with all legal, health, and safety requirements of the role
  • Managing the Security Control Room with the Supervisor

About You

  • Proven ability to problem-solve under pressure
  • Capable of multi-tasking and prioritising workload
  • Smart and professional appearance at all times
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to personal and professional development
  • Excellent attendance and timekeeping record
  • Physically fit to carry out manual handling tasks, long foot patrols, and work on stairs
  • Basic IT skills (Word and Excel)

Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous security experience
  • Valid CCTV and SIA Licence
  • Police Vetting (NPPV1 / CTC) must be passed within 3 months.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a busy reception environment
  • Experience within a museum or cultural venue
