Security Officer

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer in Belfast to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff & visitors on site. This will be achieved through applying thorough access control procedures, carrying out:

  • Site inductions
  • Planned & ad-hoc site patrols
  • Other duties as per Assignment Instructions

In the event of an emergency, follow prescribed escalation/communication procedures with:

  • Site Management
  • Corps colleagues
  • The emergency services

You will work:

  • 20 hours per week
  • Mondays to Fridays from 1730–2130

What You Will Need

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
  • Valid SIA Front-Line License – essential
  • Confidence in and ability to establish/maintain good working relationships at all levels
  • Ability to:
    • Work to deadlines
    • Multitask
    • Operate under pressure
  • Excellent IT Skills including:
    • Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
  • Must achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards

What Are You Going To Do

  • Maintain overall surveillance of the site, performing:
    • Regular site patrols
    • Recording these as per Corps & Customer requirements
  • Ensure all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in, and out
  • Record entry/exit of deliveries whilst on site, including processing of paperwork per site quality procedures
  • Ensure patrols are carried out to correct standards
  • Set/unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out-of-hours provision, if applicable
  • Comply with site waste management procedures
  • Complete required documents, including:
    • Daily occurrence log
    • Shift handover forms
    • Incident/accident records
    • Any site-specific reports
  • Maintain familiarity with:
    • Assignment Instructions
    • Risk Assessments
    • All quality & safety documents
    • Advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on changes or safety recommendations
  • Update training records via Corps Colleague Portal, ensuring:
    • Skills remain up-to-date
    • First aid & fire marshal training align with legislative guidelines
  • Continuously apply SIA skills while maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
    • Your SIA license must always be displayed.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
