Role Overview
A full-time, on-site Security Officer position at our Gateshead site. This pivotal role ensures the safety and security of people, property, and assets by executing a comprehensive, responsive security strategy across patrolling, monitoring, and access control.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Duties
- Patrol assigned premises per shifts/schedules, ensuring high-visibility security presence
- Monitor entrances and exits, controlling access and enforcing authorisation protocols
- Perform routine and random inspections, maintaining vigilance for potential threats
- Respond to alarms and security incidents in accordance with emergency procedures
- Invalidate or authorise access through verification of visitor logs and identity/passes

Record-Keeping & Reporting
- Compile clear, accurate incident reports to facilitate swift escalation
- Maintain CCTV surveillance, reviewing feeds as required
- Logatively liaise with supervisors/clients, conveying observations and timelines
Representation & Legal Compliance
- Conduct professional, assured interactions with clients, visitors, and emergency services
- Adhere strictly to company procedures and all legal/regulatory requirements
- Epitomise corporate values, both in conduct and public representation
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Proven track-record in security, guarding, or related protective services
- Proficient in pattern monitoring, situational awareness, and risk assessment
- Verbal and written communication skills, with:
- Ability to draft precise incident reports
- Poise in professional interactions

Technical & Logistical
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with reliable access to transportation
- Experience (or eligibility) in local security certifications (e.g., SIA standard)
