Relief Security Officer (Day & Night) – Critical Garda/Door Supervision SIA Licensing Required

Job Overview
THIS IS A RELIEF OFFICER POSITION (AVAILABLE DAY & NIGHT).
The relief security officer will protect customers' property, people, and/or assets by adhering strictly to the site’s published Assignment Instructions (AI’s), any updates, and contractual obligations. This role ensures service excellence, achieving and exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to maintain customer retention. Continuous professional development is encouraged through mandatory training.
Main Responsibilities
🛡️ Operations & Compliance
- Strict adherence to policies: Ensure compliance with all policies, UK Law, and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- AI Execution: Fully complete all site tasks as defined in the Assignment Instructions (AI’s), staying updated with any changes.
- Proactive & Practical Approach: Suggest constructive amendments to improve current service levels based on AI revisions.
- Licensing: Maintain valid SIA licensing for both Security Guarding (front-line licence) and CCTV PSS (door supervision licence) at all times. Additional contract-specific training required.
🔒 Legal & Safety Obligations
- Abide by all statutory legislation, health & safety protocols, and security operations policies.
- Follow instructions decisively and without unnecessary delays.
- Work in an organised, methodical, and level-headed manner.
📚 Training & Development
- Complete mandatory competency training requirements.
- Initiate further professional development as instructed by the Security Account Manager.
- Utilise technology to meet KPIs and expand skillsets.
- Renew licensing 16 weeks before expiry to avoid service disruptions.

🚧 Security & Incident Response
- Proactive Hazard Reporting: Immediately report Health & Safety hazards and potential threats.
- Situational Awareness: Remain alert to changes in the environment to minimise disruption, loss, or damage risks.
- Escalation: Take appropriate action if situations become threatening, involving others as needed.
- Emotional Resilience: Maintain professional conduct in challenging scenarios.
- Incident Documentation: Produce accurate, detailed notebook entries post-incident to feed into Incident Reports.
What We Require
- Previous Security Experience (desirable but not mandatory).
- Valid SIA Licence (must be current on assignment start).
- SC Clearance (desirable).
