Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer in Blyth to ensure a secure and safe environment for all staff and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Applying thorough access control procedures
  • Conducting site inductions
  • Performing planned and ad-hoc site patrols
  • Following prescribed escalation/communication procedures in emergencies

This role operates on a 4on/4off, 4on nights shift pattern, 42 hours per week, covering either:

  • 0800–2000 (Day shifts)
  • 2000–0800 (Night shifts)

What You Will Need

To excel in this role, you must possess: ✔ Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus ✔ A valid SIA Front-Line License (essential) ✔ A valid SIA CCTV License (desirable) ✔ Confidence in building and maintaining rapport with all stakeholders ✔ Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multitask efficiently ✔ Strong IT skills (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Office) ✔ Ability to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards


What Are You Going to Do?

Your key duties will include:

  • Maintaining continuous site surveillance and recording patrols as per company/customer requirements
  • Ensuring visitors, contractors, and deliveries are properly registered and managed
  • Controlling access to and from site, including secondary alarm systems as required
  • Adhering to site waste management procedures
  • Completing daily logs, incident reports, and shift handovers
  • Staying updated with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and safety documentation, reporting concerns to management
  • Maintaining SIA-compliant professionalism, ensuring your license is always visible
  • Upholding training records (e.g., first aid and fire marshals) via the Corps Colleague Portal
