Security Officer – Stanford-le-Hope
Company Description
We're Securitas, and we're looking for a professional and vigilant Security Officer to join our team in Stanford-le-Hope (SS17 9LW). Alongside a competitive starting wage of £13.12 per hour and a 42-hour workweek (4 on, 4 off), we offer:

Key Responsibilities
As a Security Officer, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining safety by:
- Preventing and deterring unauthorised access to the site
- Monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV as required
- Conducting internal and external security patrols per assignment instructions
- Performing routine checks of security equipment
- Managing keys and premises locking/unlocking duties as detailed
- Maintaining logbooks, visitor passes, and contractor registries
- Supporting staff, visitors, and contractors while safeguarding the premises
- Acting promptly in incidents or emergencies
(This is not an exhaustive list—your attention to detail and ability to adapt will determine your success in this role.)
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
✅ A valid SIA licence (mandatory for this role) ✅ Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends ✅ Right to work in the UK with a clean 5-year employment history ✅ Vigilance, strong observation skills, and ability to multitask under pressure ✅ Reliability, hard work, and ability to stand for long periods ✅ Proficient written and spoken English (clear communication essential) ✅ Alignment with our values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness
