Security Officer

LOCATION: THE PODIUM, Bath

SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off, 42 hours per week

PAY RATE: £14.50 per hour

Job Overview:

ABM UK is seeking vigilant and professional Security Officers to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, visitors, and employees. Your responsibilities will include patrolling designated areas, monitoring security systems, and responding promptly to any incidents or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols of premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or hazards.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security.
  • Operate and monitor security equipment such as CCTV systems and alarms.
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors as needed.
  • Report any suspicious activities, incidents, or breaches to the appropriate authorities.

Requirements:

  • Valid SIA Security Guard licence is essential.
  • Previous experience in a security role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and observational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and professional attitude.
  • Good physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to incidents.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
