Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Security Officer role based in Lutterworth. The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring premises, and controlling access to sites, including checking identification, visitor logs, and deliveries. Daily tasks include conducting regular patrols, reporting and recording incidents, responding to alarms, and escalating issues in line with company procedures. The role involves liaising with clients, visitors, and colleagues in a professional manner, supporting event or site-specific requirements, and following health, safety, and security protocols at all times. The Security Officer will also complete accurate incident and shift reports, ensure security equipment is used correctly, and support the overall safety and protection of people, property, and assets.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in security, guarding, or related protective services roles, ideally within events, corporate, or facilities environments.
- Strong observation skills and situational awareness, with the ability to identify risks, respond calmly to incidents, and follow established procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, visitors, and team members, including clear incident reporting.
- Ability to work on-site in Lutterworth on a full-time basis, including flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and shifts as required.
- Good physical fitness and the capability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and to work indoors or outdoors depending on assignment.
- Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality, with a strong focus on customer service and safety.
- Relevant security certifications or licenses (such as SIA or equivalent) and familiarity with health and safety standards are highly beneficial.
- Basic IT and record-keeping skills to complete logs, reports, and documentation accurately; prior experience with security systems or CCTV is an advantage.
