Hub Security Officer – Lutterworth

Location: Harrier Parkway, Hurricane 258, Lutterworth LE17 4XT Contract: 4-on, 4-off shifts Hours: 06:00–18:00 Salary: £27,518.40 per annum

We’re seeking a proactive Security Officer in our Lutterworth Hub to uphold our commitment to operational excellence. Join a collaborative team—a mix of logistics, tech, and supply chain experts—who innovate, embrace challenges, and empower each other to challenge the status quo.


Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations
  • Gatehouse & Staff Security:
    • Greet and verify arrivals (staff, visitors, drivers) per company procedure, including seal checks, scanner operations (stationary/wand), and bag searches.
    • Maintain access control barriers, and central system alerts.
    • Respond swiftly: escalate security incidents to the Security Manager.

  • CCTV Monitoring:

    • Oversee all in-hub activity (operational/warehouse), alerting Team Leads to irregularities, suspicious disturbances, or security breaches.
  • Incident Handling & Reporting:

    • Log all incidents via internal systems (including lost/COI issues), conducting in-depth investigations (e.g. CCTV, on-site evidence) to determine cause.
Key Security Checks
  • Perimeter & Yard Checks: Conduct frequent visual patrols, testing fencing security, identifying unsecured vehicles, and escalating risks.
  • Visitor & Agency Compliance: Ensure agency staff/external visitors adhere to security protocols upon site entry/exit.
Collaborative Support
  • Work closely with Operations/Supervisors, bridging customer-service access while maintaining strict controls.

Requirements & Skills

  • Shows discretion with high-visibility security awareness and risk identification.
  • Previous experience in loss prevention/security (advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Strong communication skills—welcoming visitors professionally, adapting tone for diverse hub interactions.
  • Attention to detail: Accurate reporting, ensuring compliance with audit flags.
  • Fochster, reliable in pressure situations (e.g. stakeholder/security incidents).
  • Basic IT competency (recording via MS Office/email, proficiency learning company systems like CCTV).
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
