📍 Location: West Calder, UK 💰 Pay: £13.40 per hour (Average hours: 56 hrs/week, 3 days/3 nights/3 days off rotation) 📅 Schedule: On-call days and nights

Responsibilities

You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring safety at all times by performing critical duties:

  • Maintaining security & access control:

    • Control site access & prevent unauthorised entry.
    • Manage reception and visitor registration.
    • Monitor CCTV, fire alarms, and intrusion systems.
  • Preventing incidents & emergencies:

    • Conduct detailed site patrols (internal/external).
    • Perform regular security and safety checks and inspections.
    • Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies, and concerns.
  • Operational tasks:

    • Issue visitor/contractor passes.
    • Manage keys, locks, and operational duties.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Exceptional customer service:

    • Deliver friendly, professional interactions with staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Goals & opportunities:

    • Play a key role in
    • driving positive safety culture on site.
    • Develop skills and progress in the security field.
    • Incident management and problem-solving daily.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Valid or eligible SIA Licence (Security Industry Authority).
  • A valid UK driving licence (given the West Calder location).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and occasionally weekends.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (with a checkable 5-year history).
  • Computer literacy and basic access skills.
  • Effective written and spoken English skills.
