Job Title: SIA Licensed Security Officer


About the Role

We are seeking a skilled, SIA-licensed Security Officer based in Leeds to create a secure environment for both staff and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Applying thorough access control procedures
  • Conducting site inductions and planned/ad-hoc patrols
  • Following emergency escalation/communication protocols with Site Management, Corps colleagues, and emergency services

You’ll work a flexible rotating shift:

  • 36 hours/week
  • 2 days + 1 night shift (e.g., 0630–1830 or 1830–0630)

Key Responsibilities

Main duties include:

  • Conducting regular site patrols and maintaining accurate records
  • Controlling access – briefing visitors, contractors, and deliveries
  • Ensuring compliance with alarm, waste management, and quality procedures
  • Completing administrative tasks (e.g., daily logs, incident reports, handover shifts)
  • Familiarising with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and quality documents
  • Maintaining up-to-date training records (First Aid, Fire Marshal)
  • Following Corps protocols while applying SIA professionalism

Essential Requirements

To qualify, you’ll need:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Valid SIA Frontline License (mandatory)
  • Full UK manual driving license (mandatory)
  • Valid SIA CCTV License (desirable)
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitask, and perform under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft software (Excel, etc.)
