Security Officer (London – Kings Cross)

Job Title – Security Officer Location – Kings Cross, London Hourly Rate – £14.80 per hour Shift Pattern – Rotating (day, night, and weekend shifts) Average Hours per Week – ~56

Unitrust is recruiting professional, reliable Security Officers to deliver an exceptional security service for a new prestigious contract in Kings Cross, London. This role demands trustworthiness, professionalism, and dedication to ensure best-in-class security delivery. A valid Security Guarding or Door Supervisor SIA License is essential for eligibility.


Essential Requirements

✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a confident, personable manner ✔ Outstanding customer service and a commitment to exceptional experience delivery ✔ Reliability, trustworthiness, and punctuality in all responsibilities ✔ Ability to stay calm under pressure, multitask, and prioritise effectively ✔ Physically capable of performing all duties ✔ Computer-proficient (familiarity with Microsoft Office) ✔ Valid SIA front-line licence (desirable: CCTV licence)


Desirable Experience & Skills

  • Prior work in security or hospitality industries
  • Familiarity with security threat detection technologies
  • Enhanced communication, listening, and customer service skills

Core Duties & Responsibilities

🔹 Maintaining safe order on-site, protecting individuals from violence, abuse, accidents 🔹 Preventing loss, theft, damage (including fire & water), and waste of client property, ensuring security of residents and visitors 🔹 Stopping offences against UK law, Unitrust policies, and escalating issues to management 🔹 Ensuring fire precautions and clear escape routes 🔹 Conducting internal/ external patrols and inspections, compliant with SOPs 🔹 Liaising with management for smooth visitor security processes (including cyclone patrols) 🔹 Monitoring, escalating and responding to alarms (CCTV, Security, BMS systems) 🔹 Contractor/tenant management and liaison duties
