About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to deliver a secure and safe environment for all staff and visitors.Your key responsibilities will include:
- Applying and enforcing thorough access control procedures
- Conducting site inductions
- Performing planned and ad-hoc patrols
- Adhering to emergency procedures, including escalation to site management, Corps teams, and emergency services
This is a rotating roster averaging 42 hours per week (4 days on, 4 nights on, with 4-day breaks in between).

What You’ll Need
You must have or be able to achieve:
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor License (essential)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels
- Confidence when managing multiple tasks under pressure
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, etc.)
- Clearance to BS7858 security vetting standards
The Responsibilities
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting regular site patrols, with accurate documentation and reporting
- Manning access control points, briefing and signing in contractors/visitors
- Recording deliveries, securing paperwork and ensuring compliance
- Operating alarm security systems when required
- Completing shift logs, incident reports, and quality assurance documents
- Ensuring familiarity with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and safety protocols, with input into improvements
- Maintaining up-to-date personal training records (e.g., first aid, fire safety)
- Demonstrating professionalism and displaying your active SIA license at all times
- Performing ad-hoc duties as requested
