Security Officer – Tesco Maldon
Location: Tesco, Maldon, CM9 4LE
Pay Rate: £13.72 per hour
Hours: 41 hours per week
Shifts
- Monday: 15:15 – 00:15
- Thursday: 14:45 – 00:15
- Friday: 12:30 – 00:15
- Saturday: 13:30 – 00:15
About The Role
We are looking for a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team at Tesco Maldon (CM9 4LE).
This role involves maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors while providing excellent customer service and acting as a visible deterrent to theft and anti-social behaviour.
Due to the store location and shift finish times, own transport is preferred, unless the candidate lives locally.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular store patrols
- Act as a visible security presence
- Prevent theft, loss, and anti-social behaviour
- Respond to incidents in a calm and professional manner
- Complete accurate reports and incident records
- Work closely with store management and colleagues
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, confident, and reliable approach
- Good observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Previous retail security experience is desirable but not essential
- Own transport preferred due to location and late finishing times
