Retail Security Officer – M&S
Location: Pinchington Lane, Newbury, Bucks, RG14 7HU
Salary: £13.96 per hour
Guaranteed 40+ hours per week
Join M&S as a Security Officer, where you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and secure environment for our customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Create a welcoming store environment, greeting customers as they start shopping with us, while delivering professional support to both customers and colleagues.
- Safety and Security: From preventing loss and responding to incidents, to identifying risks and supporting safe ways of working, you'll play a key role in protecting the M&S environment.
- Digital Proficiency: Use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support store operations and incident management.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards, support operations and create a positive environment for everyone.
- Adaptability: Adapt quickly to changing situations to support the store when needed.

What We're Looking For
- Experience: Previous security experience is preferred.
- License: A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, confident and professional approach
- A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly
- A genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe

- All candidates must be able to provide a 5-year checkable work history within the UK.
