Retail Security Officer (Part Time, 3 days a week)
Location: Aylesbury
Hours: 29.5 hours per week: Three days across Monday - Saturday 12:00 - 22:00
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Benefits: Paid breaks
Requirements:
- Minimum One Year's Security Experience Required
- Retail experience preferred
Job Overview
You are required to provide safety and security to our customer's property, people, and/or assets in line with the published Assignment Instructions, delivering results that meet and/or exceed the Key Performance Indicators. Provide exceptional customer service to both staff and visitors alike, as well as undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development, all whilst upholding both Mitie and our client's reputation.
Main Duties
- Use ASCONE to maintain the security of the site
- Conduct regular patrols of the site
- Deliver customer service to both staff and visitors
- Support the staff with any reasonable request
- Ensure the relevant reports are completed in order for accurate information to be recorded
Training
For this role, you will be required to fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training, as well as undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Operations Manager. You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.

Security and Health & Safety
- Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards on site
- Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss, or damage, whilst using common sense and initiative to ensure the situation does not become threatening
- Be both proactive and reactive when delivering customer service to diffuse situations to avoid escalation
- Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers
- Complete an accurate and detailed entry of any incidents that occur on the system provided on site
- Call emergency services and Control Room to report serious incidents
What We Are Looking For
- Valid Door Supervisor SIA Licence
- Excellent customer service skills
- Self-starter, can act without direction
- Report Writing skills essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
