About the Role

Established in 1981 with a single store in the Northwest of England, the JD Group is a leading omni-channel retailer of Sports Fashion, Outdoors and Gyms with our colleagues working in stores across several retail fascias in many markets around the world.

Hours:

46 Hours per Week 4 Shifts on 4 Shifts Off

Salary & Benefits:

Competitive/night shift premium/staff shop/discount

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all security policies are complied with and enforced across the site
  • Performing physical site patrols to prevent unauthorised access and prevent the appropriation of company assets.
  • Adhere to all company policies and ensure best working practice is achieved within the health & safety guidelines.
  • Performing staff searches in line with current policies/ procedures
  • Operating high-tech security equipment in line with current policies/ procedures
  • Monitoring and analysing CCTV Footage in line with current policies/ procedures
  • Maintain an excellent level of Professionalism and be always courteous.
  • Greeting visitors/contractors/staff and ensuring they all are booked in/out as per policies/ procedures
  • Supplier vehicles are booked in/out, and checking all vehicles are security sealed on arrival and departure.
  • Completing incident reports and witness statements where required
  • Security Equipment is checked and booked out in line with current policies/ procedures
  • Any other reasonable requests in line with the business needs

Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:

  • A People, safety, security mindset is essential
  • Able to communicate well with others both written and oral
  • Willingness to form strong relationships within a team is key
  • SIA Licensing is advantageous however not essential
  • Previous security experience desirable but not essential
