Security Guarding Role - Vacancy

Job Overview
To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
- Deliver results that meet and/or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPI)/Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the customer to aid contract retention
- Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development
Main Duties
Operations
- Ensure compliance with all policies, UK Law, and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager
- Fully complete all tasks as defined in the published Assignment Instructions (AI's)
- Proactively review updates in the AI's and suggest improvements to enhance service quality
- Maintain legal compliance:
- Obtain and wear a front-line SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) at all times
- Hold a CCTV PSS SIA licence (required by the customer)
- Complete contractually required additional courses
- Follow all safety protocols and workplace procedures
- Adhere to instructions and established methodologies without unnecessary protest

Training
- Successfully complete all required competency training
- Engage in continuous professional development as directed by the Security Account Manager
- Use technology to meet objectives and expand job expertise
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry
Security & Health & Safety
- Report any health and safety hazards immediately
- Stay vigilant for threats and take preventive action to minimise disruption, loss, or damage
- Exercise initiative when situations become challenging
- Maintain professionalism under pressure and with difficult clients
- Record detailed incident notebook entries promptly, contributing to incident reporting
- Adhere to schedules, demonstrating commitment to Mitie and the customer
- Conduct check calls at designated times as per AI's
- Escalate incidents to emergency services and the Communication Centre
What We Are Looking For
- Previous Security Experience (preferred)
- Valid SIA licence
- SC Clearance (desirable)
